Introducing our Pure Paper Cups* in alignment with the EU single-use plastic directive. These cups stand as a sustainable alternative to traditional disposable cups. Unlike conventional options lined with finite, oil-based polyethylene (PE), our cups feature a water-based barrier coating solution, ensuring an environmentally friendly choice.
Being entirely plastic-free according to the EU single-use plastic directive, our cups can seamlessly enter the UK mixed paper recycling streams, easily accessible to all consumers. This contrasts with PE-lined and PLA-lined cups, which necessitate collection and transportation to specialized facilities.
Moreover, our water-based coated cups hold certification for compostability under EN13432 standards, capable of full composting in industrial composting facilities. This underscores our commitment to eco-friendly practices, contributing to a circular economy.
As part of our sustainability pledge, the cup board used is sourced from responsibly managed forestry, holding either FSC or PEFC accreditation.
